Most solid fuel burning stove manufacturers, along with state and local governments, require a UL approved floor protection device for proper installation. Diamond Hearths hearth pads have been tested by Omni Laboratories in Portland, Oregon to meet and exceed UL-1618 Type 1 and Type 2 standards for all stove installations. Diamond Hearths pads are available in many colors and sizes and are either to be placed against a wall (DL) or in a corner (SL).
